Ulster University – current

As technical co-ordinator, I work with module co-ordinators to develop and deliver teaching resources for BSc Interactive Media and BA, MA Journalism courses that reflect the course curricula and industry requirements. I teach Interactive Media students to design and develop multi-media resources using Adobe Creative Cloud and HTML, JavaScript and CSS. I support my teaching with extensive multimedia resources for the Blackboard VLE.

My research interests include the role of usability, UXdigital archives and location-based interpretative experiences in learning technology. My PhD project was entitled: “The Partition Portal – Investigating the educational use of digitised historical artefacts through the design and development of a digital learning resource”. Teaching the Troubles project is my current research project which extends the impact of the Partition Portal.

In my current role I am also responsible for the design, development and project management of the online portfolio of websites for the BSc Interactive Media course.
